The couple was married only eight years, but divorced for 20, but Ann Turkel is still struggling to accept the loss of her ex-husband, Richard Harris. Turkel was born into a Jewish family, and was raised by the mother of her child in Manhattan. As a teenager, she had attended the New York Musical and Dramatic Academy. of 16, she been studying under Sanford Meisner and Philip Burton in the Neighborhood playhouse, as well as at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Ann was one of the United States' most well-known models, appearing on the covers of top magazines, including Vogue Bazaar, Cosmopolitan and several others. Ann began modeling in Europe as well as Japan with Max Factor Revlon as well as Chanel after two consecutive years of successful modeling.
