Winona-Ryder
Winona Laura Horowitz, professionally referred to in the media as Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. The name was given to her by her parents for the town where she was raised in. Michel Horowitz' father was editor and author, as were Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder's parents also happen to be Jewish. Ryder believes herself to be Jewish. She has also a half-sister named Sunyata Jubal. Her younger brother is Uria. Ryder's parents moved her along with their children to Mendocino County California when Ryder was seven years old. In those days, there was no electricity. Ryder was a prolific reader because of the lack of television. Ryder started taking acting classes at American Conservatory Theatre when she was 12 years old. Ryder landed her first film role on the big screen in 1986 at the age of 15 young. Ryder endured bullying while in highschool. She thought that by becoming an actor, her behavior could be reduced. Unfortunately, it didn't work out. However, she kept working towards her dream. Ryder made her breakthrough through Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in 1988. Ryder was later cast in successful roles. In 1993, he was nominated two times for the Academy Awards.
